| The Group controls entirely its softwood value chain straight from the forest, as processing is carried out within its subsidiaries.
Our products and services encompass grading, precision cutting, kiln-drying, planing/moulding, treating, finger-jointing, and gluing:
• At different stages of the softwood processing, the Group relies on high-tech (laser, X-ray …) grading machines.
• In addition to sawmill trimming, the Group has cutting lines with millimeter accuracy.
• For high quality drying, airflow circulating in driers is computer conditioned with a continuous monitoring of lumber temperature and humidity. Once the drying process is completed, the lumber can be re-packaged, on customer request, to remove unnecessary spacers.
• We design and manufacture moulds, on customer specifications, for our moulding lines.
• The Group is certified for treatments up to class 4 (for permanent ground contact). We use only Arsenic and Chrome free certified treating chemicals. Given a product, we also help customer selecting a treatment better matching its specific final use: aspersion, dipping, high pressure impregnation in autoclaves, and heat treatment (NIMP15)
• Our engineered wood products go through a certified manufacturing process using only certified glues. The Group has an Engineering Office for designing and sizing industrial construction projects. Depending on customer quality requirements, our structural beams are first finger-jointed for a given strength before being glued in standard (Duo, Trio …) or custom sizes. Our glued panels are sanded ready to use.
