 Commitment to Ecology
The Group contributes daily to the protection of Mother Nature.

For three generations, the family Group has fostered Renewable Forest Management on which it strongly depends for the timber supply of its nearby sawmills. Companies, managed from abroad to meet stock-market expectations or locally by a regularly changing foreign management, may sometimes aim only at short-term goals. On the other hand, a family group is more often managed with future generations in mind. Whoever has children may more easily understand us.

As the entire PEFC certified value chain, we actively contribute to slow down the so-called Global Warming. Indeed, trees grow in inhaling carbon dioxide (CO2), contributing to the Greenhouse effect, and in exhaling oxygen (O2), whose most forms of life depend upon. Meanwhile, the carbon (C) is trapped in timber until it burns or decays. Compared to hardwood, softwood is considered as fast growing, and, thus, fixing more carbon dioxide (CO2). However, at maturity, softwood does not fix as much carbon (C), and does not play its ecological role as effectively. With its felling, the planting of a new sprig enables Mother Nature to keep up with a growing production of CO2 from mankind activities, while minimising its harmful effect on environment and ensuring compliance to E.U. Legislation.

By promoting wood applications, we encourage consumption habits protecting the environment. Whereas the processing of most construction materials generates carbon dioxide (CO2), wood processing has all together a positive effect on the environment.
